Xisco Bonnín (Palma, 1967) is a photographer and cultural activist. He studied History of Art at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and at the University of the Balearic Islands, and post-graduated with a master’s degree in Cultural Heritage also at the UIB. His personal photographic project has focused on post-industrial urban society from a sociological prism. The theme of his photographs revolves around the city and the urban, understood as subjects where contemporary dialectics intersect. If in a good part of his projects he uses the guidelines of the most orthodox documentalism, in others he does not hesitate to explore more experimental paths. In his latest series reflects on concepts such as authorship, the artist versus the machine or nature hybrid of photography in the 21st century. Bonnin worked to cataloging artistic and photographic collections, curating and coordinating exhibitions, organizing film cycles, and photography for museums, art galleries and foundations.

Xisco Bonnin was co-director of La Fábrica de Licores Artes Visuales (2002-2005), a space dedicated to the dissemination of photography and the visual arts. Since 2008 he has been part of the SaMakineta photographic collective, organizer of Visionaries, a series of workshops and screenings, in collaboration with the Pilar y Joan Miró of Palma. Bonnin made numerous individual and collective exhibitions in galleries and art centers such as Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Palma, Xavier Fiol Gallery, CCCB of Barcelona, ​​Gallery Ferran Cano (Bcn), Casal Solleric de Palma and has participated in film and visual arts festivals as they can be Triennale der Photographie Hamburg, Festival Fotonoviembre Tenerife, Festival SevillaFoto, Palmaphoto Festival or TRAFIC (Bcn).
