Diego Canogar

Diego Canogar, sculptor and engraver, was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1966.

In 1986 he began his studies in Fine Arts, graduating from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1992. He has more than 20 individual exhibitions and another 120 national and international groups over 22 years.

With a presence in important national collections, he has been president of the Minimum Large Size Association since 2008, coordinating traveling collective sculpture exhibitions in the community of Madrid. He has regularly participated in fairs such as Artmadrid, Estampa, Valencia Art and Artenavas.

Erasmus scholarship for Leeds Polytechnic, England in 1990, fellow at the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome in 2005, fellow at Ciec de Betanzo, La Coruña in 2006 and at Casa Velázquez in 2003, Workshop with Miquel Navarro, Marcelino Botín Foundation , Santander in 2002. Winner of sculpture awards such as the Leonardo Martínez Bueno and the Mateo Inuria. And with some public monuments such as the sculpture “Great Tetramorph” in Navacerrada, installed in 2008 and the sculpture “Victoria” installed in Navas del Marqués “in 2010.
