Santiago Palenzuela

Santiago Palenzuela (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1967) graduated in Fine Art at La Laguna University.
Right from the outset, he sought to create a personal artistic style, mainly through painting. Solo exhibitions of his work have been held at Galería Estudio Artízar, Galería Vegueta, the San Antonio Abad Room of the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno, the Gabinete Literario in Las Palma de Gran Canaria and at Cabrera Pinto in La Laguna. He has also taken part in ART MADRID with Galería Vegueta and ARCO 2014 with the Trieste-based Galería Torbandena, in addition to participating in numerous joint exhibitions at museums and art centres like the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno, Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, Centro de Arte Tomás y Valiente in Fuenlabrada and museums in the cities of Bratislava and Prague. His work features in public and private collections, including those of the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno, Government of the Canary Islands and Tenerife Espacio de las Artes. Likewise, Palenzuela has been singled out to receive different awards and distinctions, such as the ‘Puerto de la Luz’ Painting Award, Las Palmas Painting Award and ‘Excellence’ Award from the Miguel Arcángel Royal Canary Island Academy of Fine Art.
