Joji Nakamura

Joji Nakamura (Chiba, Japan, 1974) is a visual artist based in Yokohama.

Nakamura’s work is characteristic of paintings with dynamic brushstrokes, using his fingers as a tool for the combination and application of pastel colors. Thus, the artist represents human figures by adding two tiny eyes in the center of the painting. In this way, the blurred silhouette of the canvas becomes a being who stares at the viewer, being aware of his contemplation and making him participate in the work he is observing.

Joji Nakamura has exposed in countries such as Japan, France, the Netherlands and Taiwan. During his career, he has participated in high -ranking exhibitions with other artists, presenting experimental performance. In addition, as commissioner he has introduced new talents to the contemporary artistic scene.
